Aquatic Skills for Adults TOO!
My work with ISR has brought me in touch with so many wonderful influences and teachers. Recently I have had a series of exposures that has revolutionized my approach to how adults need to learn in order to become as comfortable and confident as our little ISR toddlers are in the water.
I have taken these alternative ideas and approaches and combined it with my own very unique past to develop a style for adults as alternative and effective as ISR is for our babies. However, if you have seen an ISR lesson, this will in no way resemble an ISR lesson.

A Word About Swimming
As adults, we tend to focus on strokes as swimming, but as you've seen from ISR toddlers, swimming is SO much more!! It's also comfort in water, confidence, and being in control: the ability to rely on yourself for your safety in water, not on the bottom or the side, whether it's shallow or deep, pool, lake, or ocean. You need to know how your body and the water work together, and how to remain in control. Neither is taught in traditional swimming lessons. Neither is related to arms and legs.
